Names: Karao (short), Aruu (tall) Appearance: Aruu- Braided hair and topless, period XD. As for Karao, he wears a pink shirt, long purple vest, and a blue towel on his head. He's probably the next best looking bishounen besides Fei and Sanche IMO ^^ Age: mid-20's Origin: Unknown, but they might be from India, because of the three vertical lines on Aruu's head (signifies Hinduism beliefs) Seiyuu: Aruu: Egawa Hisao (Ogremon from Digimon), Karao: Morikawa Toshiyuki (Gou no Seiryuu from Saint Beast!) |
Karao and Aruu are brothers (hard to tell!) that are talented at making dumplings. Karao being the older brother, and Aruu the younger brother. They showed up in the dumpling festival episodes (6-8), and in the manga they show up again towards the end.
They have special ways to make their different kinds of dumplings. Firstly, Aruu would start a fire by blowing alcohol over a flame. Then placing the dumplings inside two balls in chain, he swings them around so that the dumplings are well-cooked. Karao is responsible for the creative process and for preparing the dumplings.
Since they were villains at first, they must have done something bad! Well, they cheat to attract customers, and also use dirty tricks to eliminate their competitors. Karao's very persuasive in speech and is able to manipulate people's minds, while Aruu uses his physical abilities. During the dumpling festival, Karao kept on dissing other people's food in a way that everyone would believe him, and Aruu broke Chouyu's right arm so he couldn't compete (Muahahaha! It turns out that Mao is even better than Chouyu!)
In addition, they lack the virtues of a cook. In their opinion, their *wonderful* dumplings are only for people who can afford the money. Anybody who look filthy to them, they will drive away. This is the reason why Yosen Shuuka could catch up to them in dumpling sales (Episode 7).
