Karin is Mao's older sister. Since Pai is dead and Mao has chosen to stay in Guongzhou, Karin looks after Kikkaro alone. She deeply cares for Mao, and gets along with him really well even though they fight sometime (all friendly though!). But Karin can get a bit bossy and overprotective sometimes, but it's for the sake of Mao and Kikkaro's future I guess! She hardly shows up in the show because she needs to go back to Szechuan.
