Name: Meili (or Meiri) Appearance: Long, thick, waist-length red hair; emerald green eyes. Dresses rather skimpy for a traditional Chinese girl: a green vest that reveals the shoulders, hot pink pants, and brown cowboy boots. Meili is the female main character of CMB, who is the daughter of Chouyu, and also Mao's best friend. Although she knows nothing about the art of cooking, she nevertheless supports Mao all the way. She's what you can call a "tomboy" at times because of her bubbly nature and the fact that she is around males all the time, but deep down she is very feminine. She is also very understanding, a very good listener and advice giver, especially when it comes to romance (Episode 19).
In terms of looks, Meili looks exactly like Meika, her late mother. Even when Lien first sees her he mistakens her as Meika!
Meili is secretly deeply in love with Mao. She makes it very obvious too , like crying a river when Mao decided to roam around China (Episode 14), and getting jealous when other women are around Mao (Episode 16-17). Unfortunately, Mao doesn't seem to notice it until wayyy later into the show when they finally are together. As for relationship with Shirou...despite of his constant "teasing" she is still good friends with him... I'll just leave it at that ^^;
